On Saturday I celebrated the upcoming long holiday weekend with dinner at one of my very favorite local restaurants, Le Lyonnais in Acton. What an absolutely scrumptious tale! My best friend for 20 years was an elderly Jewish lady that I met during a production of "Fiddler on the Roof". We traveled together. Her ex daughter in law remains one of my dearest friends.

I hope you follow up! It sounds like a grand adventure.

Merlina certainly is a character and I really enjoyed her immensely. I'm a little bit unnerved by the implication (not cited in my account) that she would pick up the tab for all future dinners, but I suppose I could offer to pay every once in awhile... or at least leave the tip!
