Arse-jokes are sort of a staple with Chloe (it is quite an arse), but they mix it up a bit later in the game by having Nate check out the arses of others as well. Like Elena. ...And Sully. And at some point Chloe completely gives up on Nate acting like an adult for like ten seconds maybe Nate you dumbass and it's funny, so there's that! (Don't worry, she develops.)

Nate, how are you fluent in EVERY OTHER LANGUAGE EVER, APPARENTLY, but not know what "frivolity" means? I hope you are ashamed.

Nate is extremely well-versed in the things that he's interested in, like ancient languages and explorers and treasure, but becomes a flailing moron if ever the topic moves onto stuff he's not interested in. He had a pretty spotty education and a lot of what he knows is probably practical and self-taught. So he's smart but not academic. He doesn't speak or understand Tibetan, for instance, and will stare blank-faced at a Shakespeare quote.

...It seems this have become my default Uncharted icon, even though Penumbra is about as unlike Uncharted ( ... )

oh, it is so good to hear she develops! But, while I am glad the jokes are equal-opportunity, I am still finding them a bit tired. Or maybe I will appreciate them more now, who knows?

Y-you mean he is not really omnilingual? I am oddly disappointed. "Nathan 'Omnilingual' Drake" amused me (for reasons I am not entirely clear on).

DUDES IN COLD PLACES AND CREEPY ARTIFACTS ARE THE ONLY SIMILARITIES YOU NEED. Looking back at my entry-and-comment history regarding Uncharted, I have most commonly used my chibi-Silent Hill 2 icon, so, I mean, make of that what you will.

Though now that I think about it, the two games do have a lot of basic similarities. bah, whatever.

Thank you. I am at least coming back out of the depths of it faster than usual, which would be exciting if excitement weren't still hovering outside my emotional range.

I'm really sorry you're feeling down! I hope things brighten for you soon.

First-series Luna has become my primary desktop mascot as well! She's adorable and well-behaved and not too distracting. I'm amused that, out of over a hundred potential ponies, we've both ended up favouring the same one, and it isn't even one of the main six. Congratulations on your excellent taste!

I ducked behind a crate, but before we could kill him, he blew himself up.

Ahahaha, oh dear. WELL DONE THERE, BAD GUY.

Nate, I think you've managed to hit almost every entry on the "famous last words" list already, and we're, what, 10 minutes in? Geez, no wonder you woke up in a train wreck.

...that really is what Nate does, isn't it? It's as if he's trying to sabotage himself through words alone.

I suppose it makes sense that there's treasure in a museum, but it does rather change the implication from 'hey, cool, I found some treasure!' to 'BLATANT THEFT'. Then again, given why you're there in the first place...

I'm glad we didn't have to kill the guards, ( ... )

Thank you. I hope so, too. (Like I said above, I am coming out of it faster than usual, so that is good, at least.)

She is just too adorable! Being well-behaved also helps. ... That is pretty weird (and also awesome) that we've both ended up with the same pony, though, haha.

Nate doesn't find life exciting if it's not full of things going wrong. (Alternately, he hopes that by invoking that much bad luck, he will overload the system and force things to turn around so that he has good luck. Which, uh, considering he is still alive somehow, seems to be working.) Also he thought big words were boring, and so deleted them all from his vocabulary. ...He is a strangely complicated individual.
