That's because I know something you don't practically slipped out but House merely smirked. The night was young and they were both looking for the same thing. "Why would it feel weird? You and I are practically married," the diagnostician growled playfully. That first kiss must've rustled up a memory or two so he had to go on with it.

Wilson snorted laughter. "Practically married? Right, that's likely. You're allergic to being around anyone that much, and, as you like to point out, I'm addicted to it. I'm surprised you'd ever mention us and married in the same sentence," he joked.

He'd be lying if he said he missed, or didn't like the playfulness in House's voice, and that was about the only way he could explain what he'd said. House and marriage was like oil and water, though he also couldn't ignore the warm feeling growing pleasantly in his chest.

"Yeah well, you're different, all right?" Greg argued before managing to land a kiss on Wilson's lips. There was that spark again and it was building inside between them. "You're right; marriage sounds weird coming out of my mouth."

Wilson was surprised at the declaration. This whole thing, at least in part, had seemed more like some whim because of the masks, but the tone in House's voice told Wilson that the other man was being honest, for once.

House wasn't the only one to feel the spark, but he was probably the only one that was no longer surprised by it. Wilson really couldn't wrap his head around what was going on, but he didn't feel like he had to either. Why not just go with what made him feel good?

He was panting as the far too quick kiss broke and House spoke. His tongue darted out to wet his lips, as if trying to chase the taste of House. "Yeah, weird, but not necessarily bad. Probably worse coming from my mouth, considering my track record."
