Sirius had, until this point, considered the whole affair to be one enormous joke. He must be hallucinating, or dreaming, or something. However, it was nice to know that if this was real (discomfiting at best), James was here. There was that, at least.
As he made his way down to the street and turned in the direction he'd recalled seeing the cinema, he made a mental note to go find Snivellus and see just how old the git had become, and then find Martha Jones and see if she was horribly disfigured. Or blind. Or a mutant.
Meanwhile, James. There was James. He let out an excited, joyfull shout and ran towards his friend, laughing, then flung his arms around him in a bit of an over-the-top greeting.
James let out a giddy half laugh and squeezed Sirius with his own over the top greeting, picking him up off the ground briefly.
"Oh Padfoot, you have no idea. I have no bloody idea how glad I am that you are here. No magic, no friends, no snitch. Just me and Snape. And its not even been a bloody day. One bloody day, I'm such a wanker, mate."
"No snitch?" he echoed with a barking laugh, thumping James on the back. "You and your priorities, mate. All right, tell old Padfoot all about it."
He was so glad - so very glad - to have his friend here. Knowing Snape was lurking around would have made things just too intolerable in the long run. He motioned to the cinema.
"But first, let's see what's on the bill, shall us?"
First Severus with the Butterbeer and now Sirius with his snitch, he had priorities, he just liked the small comforts in life too.
James turned to look at the building with a thoughtful frown.
He didn't know what to think of it, it looked a little dated to him and there certainly wasn't a line to get in.
"Severus warned me not to go in it and to stay away from the phone booths. I've been wondering all day why he would warn me. He said it was to make the playing field more even. Since the git has his wand."
