Who: Gabriel and OTA
What: Arrival. Going toward Boarding House
Where: Town Square
When: Day 43.

Gabriel was caught between amusement at his surroundings and just being downright depressed that his powers were gone. It all felt strangely reminiscent of some trick he might pull on an unsuspecting mortal. Throwing them in a village based on the Twilight ( Read more... )

Sam was taking the opportunity to explore. He still wasn't entirely convinced that there was no escape from Peaksville, and while he wasn't entirely ready to shrug off the idea of a permanent escape from Azazel, there was something unsettling about his brother. Like there was something he wasn't telling Sam, and while that wasn't really anything new ... he still didn't like it. He wanted to know what was going on, but he knew better than to ask, so he just went exploring instead, and hoped that he would find some kind of answer.

Instead he found the Trickster.

Unlike Dean, Sam didn't share his brother's amusement at the demigod's idea of poetic justice, and he wasn't particularly amused to find him here. In fact, he was starting to think that maybe this was all the Trickster's doing, and they just had to find the hole in the joke, but he wasn't sure yet. Instead he just stopped, stared for a moment, then pointed.

"Didn't we gank you?"

Gabriel just chuckled slightly, clearly this Sam was from before Luci and the big reveal of Gabe's identity. And shit, he wasn't about to tell him anything about it. This would have been more fun if he had his powers, though. Hopefully, Sam didn't get any bright ideas to try and gank him now. Wishful thinking.

He tilted his head at Sam, with a bored expression plastered on the face, "I'm the Trickster, shit for brains. Of course you didn't."

That honor went to Lucifer, apparently.

Wait till this Sam finds out, Gabe. He'll never believe it. Ever. Ever.

Sam rolled his eyes at the comment, before holding up a hand and gesturing to Peaksville around them. "This all you? Because if it is, it's really not funny."

He figured he should at least cover a base by asking. If it wasn't the Trickster ... then he wasn't sure he wanted to know what it was. The Trickster was at least something he could fight, but if this West guy brought him here, it means it's more powerful than he is. He wasn't sure if he wants to get on the bad side of whatever would kidnap a Trickster and drop them here. But he was probably going to wind up doing it anyway.

It is, after all, the Winchester way.

Hmmm... a quandary. He could pretend he'd done all this, because then Sam wouldn't know he was powerless. But he'd probably find out eventually, anyway. So, he was pretty much fucked either way.

He went with the truth, hoping he could play the pity card. Might work. Especially if this was a younger Sam.

"No. This isn't my work. It is quite good though. I'm almost tempted to say it is." Gabe shrugged.
