Wilson sat quietly during dinner, more pushing his food around than actually eating. He had started getting his appetite back, but the events of the past few days were really starting to take its toll on him. He was more than relieved that House was alive and well, but the trick Az had played on him had taken a lot out of him. Still, he wanted to do something. He just didn't know how much longer he could go on not knowing what was coming next. Wilson was used to living on a schedule and losing that, more than anything, was what was shaking him up
( ... )
"Wilson, you know as well as I do that what you just said gets the speaker killed? Speaking of death, don't you just end up in a corn field? If so, I want a shot gun," House reacted quickly as he limped out, following Wilson and eating the last of his donut. Shit went nasty for a while but now they were settled and this doctor was back on track on his coup d'etat on West.
Don trailed into the back of the room, drink in hand. He set it down to light a cigarette, watching the others closely. He's been quiet all through dinner, not really understanding half of what he was hearing and not letting the fact that that bothered him show.
He wasn't sure what good any of them were against West, but he'd listen.
"By the rules as we currently know them," Jim pointed out. "We don't have any guarantee that West won't change them up on us. I agree with Wilson. We need to start working together. Pooling resources."
He glanced around the room.
"I provoked him once, and was turned invisible for a day. Yesterday one of his minions appeared to me and offered me... well, she didn't exactly offer me anything, but she was definitely feeling out my attitude towards offering her something. Anyone have any clue what it is they want?"
