It's finally here--your overall challenge bonus opportunity!
For those who are Challenge 3 rookies, let me explain what's this all about. During Challenge Two we reached 100 members here at the twiconathon. As a little celebration, we had a trivia challenge for bonus points and it was a huge hit. Yes, we are primarily an icon contest, but there's no harm in having a little extracurricular fun, is there?
So, as we reach 150 members (just one member shy!), it's time to introduce Challenge Three's bonus challenge--a Fan Art Mood Theme! Please read all the rules (there are quite a few) and make sure you understand everything. The rules should not be too hard to follow, but I have changed a few things in order to up the stakes and add a new element of strategic game play.
I hope you have a lot of fun, and think outside the box, creating really cool moods, as opposed to just cropping a piece of art. After the completion of this activity, I will compile all moods and compose a credit list so that you guys can upload it and use it on your LJs if you wish. And also, I'll post it to a couple of communities as a way to promote the twiconathon.
Good luck , have fun, and ask me any questions. :)
Revised Rules:
- Entries may be submitted anytime between Monday, December 22, 12:01 am Central Standard Time and Sunday, January 4, 11:59 pm Central Standard Time.
- Each participant may submit a maximum of three moods per day.
- Moods must:
- be 90 pixels wide and 40 pixels in height.
- be one of the 132 official LJ moods. See HERE for a complete list.
- be derived from artwork provided under the official twiconathonapproved resources.
- must list the fan artist(s) who provided the base work for each mood theme ( i.e. Happy--artwork by dean-winchester). The purpose for this is so I can compile a credit/resource list featuring all base artists and you makers to include in mood theme folder for distribution.
- must be submitted in a screened comment to this post. You may submit your moods in multiple postings.
- Each mood is worth 1 point each.
- Moods are on a first come, first serve basis. Because submissions are screened, please check the master list to see if a mood has already been submitted.
- Moods in pink have already been filled an no further entries will be accepted. Moods in blue have already been filled but are duplicate pictures of other moods and further submissions will be accepted.
- I will approve and log your earned points, but I will not add them into your scores until you tell me to. This is the strategy part of the game. You can add your earned points in bulk or gradually. Nobody but you and me will know if you submitted and how many points you earned until everything is compiled and released. So, if you want, you can save your points for a rainy day, and then drop a surprise when you want to.
- I will post one reminder of any unused points a week prior to the end of the challenge. Otherwise, it's up to you to remember.
