Challenge 1--Round 6--Fanart by Loleia
We're officially half way through the first challenge! Woot, woot! Thanks to everyone who has participated through entries and/or voting--it's been a blast so far. Now, it's time for both you and me to step up our A-game and really finish this first challenge with a bang!
This week, our regular round and Bonus Round 2 will take a break from all the movie stills and movie cast and let you have a little more freedom.
This round is a bit of a special round, and I've been waiting some time to introduce it. Many of you have commented how pretty our community site is. Well, I can take no credit for it, the artwork that make up the community's banners are done by the extremely talented, extremely nice artist
loleia.
With explicit permission, Loleia has given her blessing to use her artwork for icons for this round only. Please read all the rules carefully this round--they are a bit different because we are dealing with original art. Loleia was generous enough to allow her art to be transformed into what should be some magnificent icons; let's show her we can follow the rules and make her proud!
General Round Rules:
1. All icons must be submitted to this post by MONDAY, June 16 at 11:59PM US CENTRAL STANDARD TIME. Notice the small extension to reflect my late posting and to counter for Father's Day for us Americans. For our international participants who need help converting, try here

2. You may submit up to Two (2) icons total. Submit your icons as a comment to this post, as an img src and a url. Please keep all submitted icons under one post--you will be able to edit your post as many times as you want up until the closing time. All icons must meet LJ standards (under 40kb and 100x100 px).
3. All textures, text, brushes, blending, stock, and animation is allowed.
4. Obviously, since you are dealing with original artist material, you are limited to
loleia's artwork. Thus you are not limited to picking a piece that features your character. See more specific rules down below.
5. Do not post your entries anywhere until after the voting is over and the results have been announced. Do not submit a previously made icon. Do not submit an icon you yourself haven't made. Breaking any of these rules will get you disqualified.
6. Also, please post any questions concerning this round as a comment to this post. Comments are screened.

Specific Round 6 rules:

loleia's Twilight artwork to derive up to Two (2) icons from. Her artwork can be found HERE (painted) and HERE (b&w original sketches), and finally HERE (little cartoon sketch).
2. For this round, you may choose any piece(s) that you find inspiration from. You DO NOT have to pick work that features your sign up character.
3. Permission to use these pieces was given to me on behalf of Twiconathon icon makers by the artist herself FOR THIS CHALLENGE ONLY & THIS ROUND ONLY. If you are as enraptured as I am and want to create more fanart or icon derived from her work, please contact
loleia directly and ask her yourself. She's very lovely and friendly, there's no need to fear her. :)
4. If icons are used for future use and when posted elsewhere, please remember to credit
loleia for using her work as a base. You as icon makers know how much credit means to the artist--she puts a lot of time and hard work creating these works just as you do.
