It turned out! My chicken soup actually tasted like chicken soup and it ROCKED. Hubby even had two servings and asked when I'd make it again. Now I just need to remember what I dumped in it and we're good! LOL!

And I watched the MOST incredible movie tonight. This was one of the greatest stories I've ever seen. It's called I am David. Click here Read more... )

Let's see. I cut up three chicken breasts and stuck them in a crock pot. Then took a can of chicken broth and a stick of butter and a half a bottle of beer (Coors light)...threw in some dried minced onions, oregano and basil (all dried...obnoxious isn't it?) and garlic powder. I let it cook for about an hour and then added veggies (cause that first hour I was sure I'd wasted a bunch of ingredients...but then it started smelling good! LOL!) Cooked it all in the crock pot for 7 hours and VOILA! Chicken soup! (I'm such a cheat! But it turned out good! LOL!)

And really...crock pot equals me not standing all day over a hot bubbly pan at the stove...so I'm GOOD! LOLOL!

I don't know the title of the book but it's by Anne Holme(s?) and yes, it's the guy who played Jesus. I've become a huge fan of his. Pretty much loving just about anything he does.

Well, don't forget cleaning the kitchen (after three days of hubby only doing 'enough' dishes to get the job done) and straightening up the living room and doing three loads of laundry.....

I Am David is probably one of my top favorite movies. It's absolutely amazing. I love everything about it. I've been forever telling everyone to see it but they don't listen. Here's hoping they listen to you! =)

PS - OMG, that icon is WONDERFUL.

Hee!! Isn't it great? (The icon and the movie!?!) I squeed first time I saw the icon. Knew I had to have it.

Blown away and sobbing at the end of I am David. I'm pretty sure we'll be owning that one.

Have you read the book?? If it's even half as good as the movie (they're always so much better aren't they?) then it's got to be BRILLIANT!

(And why would people listen to me? I'm a certified goober! LOL!)
