Ask anything you ever wanted (or not really sure you wanted) to know about any of my RPing characters, past, present or future.

This isn't a wise thing for me to open myself up to, I suppose, but I'm not known for my wisdom.

How much planning goes into the NPCs you portray? Do you usually have a lot of backstory set up before the gaming session, or are you just really good at improvising?

Not remember? Shit, I got how many points of Stamina out of that? I wanted to do the same thing with every character.

Then again, I have to admit having a moment of amusement at the self-realization that I was the Mountain Dew guy in the kitchen.

If you mean pen and paper based, sadly none.
If you mean MMO-ish, currently only World of Warcraft, though I'm in the pre-order for Champions Online when it opens in September.

Yeah, I'm kinda in the same boat. No PnP games. Just finished Mass Effect for the Xbox360. Did Resident Evil 5. Playing a little WoW, mostly on weekends. Had a 4E game going, but the game store we were playing at went out of business and the group broke up. But, I've been going over Harn rules with my buddy Leland, trying to simplify the combat rules a little and maybe speed it up some. Trying to simplify spellcasting too so that you don't have to roll (potentially) 30d6 to determine spell cost and stuff. Little things like that.

I've made a couple of attempts to get Tim to run a game under the old Quephter rules set, but no luck there either. It's almost like it's a chapter of his life he wants to put away forever.

Rocky just made an attempt to get him to run a reunion game, and that failed too. I'm not even getting occasional role play opportunities at this point. I think I'm gonna get stuck playing in moduals at Cons if I want to play at all. =(
