HA! Jon, you and everyone else better hope I don't start listening to those fucking voices. There are times when I'm one bad day away from a hooded green cloak and a metal mask, man.
I wouldn't call it Latveria unless it could be geographically semi-accurate.
On the other hand, Marvel can kiss my ass. If they want to try and enforce a trademark lawsuit, they can do their best to have me served with the subpoena. If one process server can actually make it through the traps, I'd actually settle just from being that impressed.
well, in a sense, all paranoia is narcissistic, because it implies that the paranoid individual is important enough to be singled out for extraordinary levels of surveillance and/or persecution. i know someone who calls me up whenever his computer does anything he doesn't understand, because if he doesn't understand it, he jumps to the conclusion that it must mean that "they" are reading his email and recording his visits to pr0n sites. every time, i have to tell him, "your email, and your fondness for pictures of nekkid wimmin, are of absolutely no interest to the local police, the FBI, or Interpol. they've got far better things to do, and you're not important enough for them to chase!"
i'm not sure, but i believe that classsic paranoia can also include "delusions of grandeur" - like bipolar disorder, it has both an "up" and a "down" side. unfortunately, my resident psychologist is busy at the moment, so i can't just call or text him and ask ;-)

Borderline Personality Disorder is a classic example of this - a mix of paranoia and narcissism.

If you declare your state the Independent Country of Latveria, I'll know to take cover. Or possibly send you my resume.
