Where the Phanean Way won't take you.

Something I want to say about Phaneanism is what it isn't. Phaneanism is a guide for living in this world and dealing with the life you lead here. Phaneanism has nothing to say about what comes after this life, for good, for ill, or for naught. No one knows what comes after this life, if anything. So I'm curious, is Phaneanism really a religion or is it just a philosophy? I realize that the line between the two is often thin, but the more of your posts about what Phaneanism is and is not that I read, the more it sounds like a philosophy rather than a religion. I'm not necessarily saying that's a bad thing, but I'd like to hear your take on it.

It depends on where the individual wants to blur that line. You have to define what religion means to you before you'll know what role Phaneanism will serve in your life. If you desire a connection to the divine, then Phanes is there. If you're not interested, then there should be nothing in the Phanean Way that will stop you from approaching the divine via another path while simultaneous living by the Phanean tenets.

It all depends on how a person wants to walk. Whatever works.
