1. chameleons don't have to have a color to imitate; they have a natural "resting" color of their own, which they display when they aren't trying to camouflage themselves. (it's a light greyish green, about what you'd expect of a lizard.)
2. at the very least, they reflect each other, including their edges. assuming they're the same size, and positioned some distance apart, the field of view of each mirror takes in the edges of the other, plus a small amount of whatever is around or behind the other mirror. the only way to make it so that they'd only reflect each other would be to place them with their surfaces touching - and then there'd be no light to reflect.
3. actors also have selves, the person they are when they're not acting. so if an actor is alone, or even relaxing among friends, he's speaking in his own natural voice.
4. well, my mask is the fact that i don't wear any masks...
5. if we're all actors on a stage, i want better dialog, better makeup, and better costumes.

This would be pretty much the theme for my 'personal work' in the year 2000. I'd left the Mormon church and lost the inputs for my attempts to be the person others wanted, so then I had to figure out who in hell I actually was, what I believed, what I wanted in life... it was terrifying and very difficult and so worth it.
It hit that point every now and again these days, but it's a much smaller adjustment, realizing that I'm straying from the conclusions I reached back in 2000 and drifting back toward "I'll be who you want me to be." [This is actually a phrase from a Mormon hymn.]
