A friend & I were discussing comedy last night as I put a Black Books DVD in, and he mentioned that he'd been turned on to British comedy by watching a programme with "that guy from House." Delighted that Hugh Laurie would be responsible for such a wholehearted conversion, I set about trying to figure out what programme he'd watched. He mentioned

Both Fry and Laurie were in "Black Adder goes forth" which was set in WWI.

I knew it was Blackadder, but didn't realise Laurie was in that one as well. Must get some DVDs!

Laurie had big parts in at least two seasons. You totally need to get it.

I've only seen a few episodes of each series, somehow, and mostly of Blackadder II. (I know, I know.)
