Shall we try this agian?

Some of you may recall... ladybug218 started this last year, and then I was so intrigued that I did one of my own. The one I did had a fiar amount of interested people, but nobody managed to finish it. Just recently I remembered this, and thought I'd try this again...

Anyways, because I'm so uncreative when it comes to explaining things, I've taken my description from last year (in other words, ladybug218's description twisted to fit my timeframe, preferences, etc. Also stole the collection of Q&A from people and added them to the list of Q&A's, lol), and here it is:

The Lyrical Literature Fic Challenge

1)What is it?

A multi-fandom/original fic challenge. You sign up, I give you a couple lines of song lyrics and you write a story inspired by those lyrics.

2)What kind of lyrics will you use?

Well, I'm pretty sure I'm just going to put my CD player on random and pick a few lines out of whatever song plays. Make it all random, lol.

3)Can I write in [insert your fandom name here]?

Yep. Or you can write original fic. Or poetry if that's what strikes you. I don't care. I just want to encourage my friends to write.

4)What's the deadline?

I've decided not to do a deadline for signups this year. If you want to participate, leave a comment (instructions on content for this below). I'll e-mail you your lyrics ASAP, and you'll have until October 31st at midnight to give me a link to your final product (I'll e-mail you a link to the post in which you can post these links in when I e-mail you your lyrics).

5)Can people who aren't on your (meaning my) friends list participate?

The more the merrier, I always say. If you wanna get your own friends in on it, just send them to this post to sign up.

6)Sounds great, I want to play! Now what?

Drop a comment below with your name and email address. Comments are screened so you don't have to worry about stuff you don't want leaked being public.

(the following were questions people asked and ladybug218 answered. I post these here because I agree with her answers)

7)Can we do crossovers?

You can do whatever you're inspired to do by the lyrics :)
So, yeah, crossovers count!

8)If I sign up, then decide not to do it (or get overwhelmed for school for some reason and get no writing time), is that ok? And should I jsut let you know, or..what?

It's totally fine if you don't end up writing, or if you end up writing after the deadline or whatever. It's not a fic exchange, so no one gets hurt if you don't write.

9)If I don't like your song lyrics, can I ask for new ones? (there was also another similar question of "If I try really hard, but the lines don't spark any kind of inspiration for me, can get I new ones then?")

I'm gonna go with no because it's a fic challenge so if you don't like them, maybe they can inspire you to write something unhappy or... I dunno. But no. (the answer to the other one was "If you really don't get *anything* from them, then, yeah, I'll consider sending you new ones." Which makes sense)

10)by "inspired" do you mean that we'd have to write something Using/including those lyrics, or just something that comes to mind upon hearing them (or either/or)?

You do not have to include the lyrics in the text of the story, though including them at the beginning so people know what inspired you would be cool.

11)How long should it be? Like, is there a max/min?

However long you want it to be :) Though I'd suggest at least a few papragraphs, lol

12)How many lines do we get?

Between 2-4

13)I have a question you didn't answer!

Drop a comment below and ask. I'll likely respond and unscreen it because chances are someone else has the same question.

So..that's that. Sign up. Have fun. Warm up for NaNo. Lol.
