And its not always qualifications that clinch it. A workmate of mine left and got a job at atsra-zeneca despite having no Chem qualificatons at all. She got the job through a meager years lab experinece, being nice in the interview and projecting herself well.
My lack of confidence is pretty accurate in this case though, lol. The only real things I have going for me above the other candidates is that (1) I'm bilingual, so I could deal with the Quebec and Belgium people in their native tongues, and (2) less experience means he can pay me closer to the lower end of the payscale. Which would be fine with me, no worries! Everyone's just hearing a different story about it. One girl was told second round of interviews would happen. Another was told he pretty much chose the person before they started her interview! For me, he said he honestly wasn't sure who he was going to pick since all the candidates are a great choice in their own way. Grrr indecisive men!
