Fred was practically fully formed the moment he hit the ocean. I'm enjoying watching him, but I hope he continues to stay away from any population centers.

I completely agree with that. In fact, if we had data out there.. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw that Fred did in fact roll off Africa essentially a ready-made depression.
