I'm writing this from vacation in St. Maarten. Yay!! This is a ridiculously lovely place. And family hasn't been driving us TOO crazy, so that's a bonus. There was an unfortunate incident with the bumper of the rental car (it got torn off) and my niece dumped an entire plate of spaghetti on the rug, leaving a noticeable stain, but other than that

I have been there! In fact, my husband was offered a job at the marine store and we thought seriously about staying there for a couple of years.

If you haven't been to the fort on the French side, it's really nice and worth a visit.

Wow! How cool!! My in laws are on a catamaran in Simpson Bay Lagoon. What a wonderful life!

I would like to go to the fort but it's a bit of a hike and unfortunately my back is injured right now. It really sucks because I LOVE to hike. Sigh. Oh, well. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak ...

Hee, that's where we would have lived, on our boat, too. Though when we were there (10 years ago) we mostly were anchored off the French side.

This was the first ep of Supe for a while that I thoroughly enjoyed. It was a very strong one, like the best of SPN - much smarts, much humour, much real emotion.
