SAI is kind of difficult when it comes to watercolory-looks. It's great for cel-shading and using the airbrush at a low volume, but that's it.

That aside, I think this new look is great. I love how soft the colors are, and how the light really seems to glow.

Hm... what do you mean by weak lineart? I think it looks good, imho. :)

he he, I never use the airbrush in sai, I only ever use the "water" brush. XD It's great for blending colors. The thing I was trying to do in this pic was to use the "watercolor" paper texture to create a more natural look... but I think I'm doing something wrong.

About the lineart... mainly the problem is that it doesn't look like the kind of underdrawing you'd have on a watercolor piece. I dunno.

I wonder if you used a brush that looked kind of like graphite...

Of course, I have no idea if SAI has the ability to use custom brushes like Photoshop does.

Hm... with textures, I know how to use them in Photoshop, but not SAI, unfortunately.

Oh, but the lineart is a REAL pencil drawing. XD

The textures in Sai are in a drop down on the left hand side. There are only like 5 of them. XD
