Bad Music: UK vs USA

There can't be many people reading my blog who aren't also on the friend list of bart_calendar - but for you last few holdouts, we've just started a brand new joint blogging enterprise.

The premise is this: Bart thinks that the UK is responsible for all that sucks in popular music.  I take the position that the USA has the worst taste of, well, any other country ( Read more... )

I had planned for Robbie Williams to be my second salvo, but Bon Jovi almost begs for a response along the lines of Phil Collins or Wang Chung.

On a side note - I went in and put Oasis and Bon Jovi as tags and then added them to our interests list.

I figure that if we keep doing that we'll eventually discover people who like the bands we are trashing and that will create the joy of hearing heartfelt explanations of the genius of Richie Sambora.

I'll counterattack preemptively...There is new evidence that Sid Vicious was actually born in Missoula, Montana...He was a ringer planted by EMI...

Except they never actually recorded for EMI. They signed to the label, got a check and then were booted from the label a couple of days later before they had a chance to record anything.

A better rumor to start would be that Sid Vicious was actually Vivian Westwood in drag.
