Aww, he cried real tears. *cry*

Also, I made a back-story for Angelo that helped me with his struggle and his scars. It doesn't show on screen but in 1927 Italy was ruled by Fascism and being homosexual could easily mean being beaten to death. That's what Angelo talks about when he says “sometimes you have to defend yourself...people say ...things”. I imagined that he went through very hard times in the fascist Italy where he comes from. That was also my idea for his deep motivation to move to the US.

He's awesome. That's a wonderful Q&A. Wishing him much luck in the future. (Also, the pic at the bottom, extra cute!)

I'm just blown away by the Q&A. Daniele is one amazing and gracious actor. It's not hard to see that he and Barrowman would get on. And boy am I glad I got over my skepticism of Angelo real quick. He seriously made me love the character on the first viewing. Too bad we can't get some of those hugs for real!

Great interview and what a nice bloke. I love that JB suggested mentioning the eye as when he kisses it and Angelo smiles is my favourite moment.

That moment is a gif on my sidebar on my layout. It's my favorite too.

Wow. He's SO much more attractive IRL. I don't know why they had to go for the greasy-haired look in MD. And what a fresh young face when he's clean-shaven!

I can think of two possible explanations. 1) it was the roaring 20s with all the men having plastered down their hair with pomade/hair grease and 2) he was meant to be poor and in the minds of the writers that app. seems to imply greasy hair and an unshaven face ... *sigh*

I quite like the pictures of him where he has this "Musketeer"-beard and the rest of his face is cleanly shaven ;)

Yes, the goatee is nice. I think it was just the greasiness that put me off.

yep, my first reaction was "ugh", too. But then the wonderful, powerful love-tragedy-story began ;)
