Every empire has got to fall some time ... perhaps the Time Lords were haughty (and powerful) enough to believe that they were not within that rule, but nothing ever escapes death. It was just a matter of time, andit would only make sense that Gallifrey's end would come about by Time's champion (that is such a silly name, I swear, strange obscure canon!) and I like to think Death had her own hand in events, with her own champion.

I think I read up on strange little facts within the fandom a bit too much. ;P Excuse my rambles.
