Posting Schedule

Hi guys!

As promised, here's the posting schedule for the Big Bangs. We're getting so excited about this!

On the day you're assigned, you can post your fics and art on your own livejournals, linking it all back to a master post you'll publish on this community.

Here goes )

You know, it's just occurred to me, I can do my own art. My medium is somewhat uncommon for fanfic (I'm a textile artist). Lately, I've been focused almost entire on my writing, and this possibility just never crossed my mind.

I worry about having enough time, but if I can get a good start while my beta's at work, it shouldn't be a problem.

*writes down into iCal and tells it to bop me over the head several times* Right, will be posting it to my miscellaneous-Torchwood-fics journal s4_see at the appointed time and reporting back -- erm, do you have a preference as to time of day? I'm in US Central but I'm often up and about at what's extremely odd hours locally... (not that there's a good time to post on Fridays so far as I've ever seen, I know I always seem to get more comments on Mondays when everybody's bored at work, but it's probably too late to change my username to "AardvarkMcAardvarkson" LOL)

BTW, so, does this mean that the art gets turned in to the fic authors to be coded in with the stories as posted in our journals, or...? (Yeah, I'm always the one with the procedural questions, it's from a lifetime of the ADD screwing things up if I don't ;) )

It can be done anyway you want. It can be coded into the story and posted on your journal or linked separately to the artist's journal, or both. As long as it's all linked on the master post. :)

As for appointed timing, we didn't set one in deference to writers from all timezones. Any time in the day you're assigned is fine.

When you say you link "it all back to a master post you'll publish on this community" dpes that mean you don't have a master post on your own journal...?

You can do whatever you want on your journal (backdate it, make a masterpost, link it all to an external website, etc.) as long as there is a master post on the community linking to your fic to a place where it can be read by everyone. :)

When we post our fics, due to the size, do we have to post the entire fic on our allocated date or can we post a chapter a day starting on that date?

Apologies for delay, livejournal only just delivered your comment notification.

You have to post the entire fic on your allocated day. Due to size, you can split it up in separate entries, which you can back date if you want to avoid spamming your flist, but all parts have to be posted and available on your assigned date and linked to in a master post and on this community.

Examples can be found on startrekbigbang or xf_bigbang. Hope that clears it up. :)

Don't ask me how I managed to overlook this for so long, but I signed up under my regular lj name, rather than my writing journal, ninjasnano. I'd prefer to post it to ninjasnano than to my general one; is that possible, or should I just post it to this journal and then swap it over sometime after the contest?

No worries, you don't need to change your name and you can post wherever you want :)
