They entered the noisy pub for a cup of holiday cheer.
“Here it is,” Jack pointed out, “Merry Christmas!” he smiled at Ianto.
Ianto nodded, scanning the room. “Everybody’s having fun.” He winced. Cheesy song.
He stashed coats as Jack ordered and Ianto found a pint before him.
“Eggnog, sir?”
“Nothing else in the galaxy like it. I’ve heard only eggnog has enough surface tension to push fruitcake through a humanoid colon.”
“On that note, sir, I think I’ll be skipping dinner.”
Jack toasted him: “Look to the future now; it's only just begun!” as Ianto accidentally spilled his pint.
