There seemed to be an "old lady" convention in Scotia Square for the past two days. We are connected to the Convention centre, so will often see conventioneers around the mall. There were dozens, traveling in packs of up to 6 or 8 at a time. Almost all were women that appeared to be over 60 with one or two men occasionally but mostly, older women. ( Read more... )

I noticed all the ladies too. All these support groups are great, and maybe they work well for some people. For me, it was a switch in my head (or somewhere) that went off (or on), and I wish I could identify what exactly it is or was. The only thing I can think of is the near death experience I had the month I decided to start doing this. And well, we don't want everyone to have to do it that way. But a support group like that would likely do the opposite for me, mainly because I am contradictory anyway. Just keep up with the Fitness Dragon and it will all fall into place (or out of place).. :) (IF you can't keep on with the Fitness Dragon, become your own! That's what I did. And apparently I am a bit brutal...heh.)

As for the Ebook reader. I bought a netbook. A little bulky, but does everything, especially allowing me to surf and I have a pile of PDFs on it for reading. I got a netbook for $350.00

Support groups are certainly worth while for lots of people and the first Tops group i was in was very good but when i had to change it was a very small group and nobody was losing and nobody was really all that enthusiastic, it just was a drag. The Fitness Dragon is great. And as i'm paying for it for awhile yet, i shall persevere. I've got to get myself there at least one more a week though, on my own. It's hit or miss at the moment.

I think a netbook is a bit more than i want really, at this point though it has advantages too.
