Yes to both questions - pairings can be canon or non-canon and be slash/femslash.

One question about the category: I claimed a Christmas movie, so can I also use christmassy screencaps or is it mandatory to add christmassy things like hats and textures?

Yes, you can just use Christmasy screencaps and/or add Christmas hats, textures as well. It’s up to you.
