Now for the weekend...

Jan 10, 2005 11:07

I had a pretty good weekend all told. Jim had to go into the studio on Saturday, which was kind of a bummer because as much as I love football, it's so much more fun watching it with Jim. But he got home in time for the Jets game and we had a nice evening.

I was so hoping that Green Bay would actually show up and play yesterday. :(

Did you see the guys on CBS interview Roethlisberger? He cracked me up when he answered their question about whether he's surprised how great he's done so far as a pro. I can't wait for that Pats/Colts game!

Oh, did you check out the link I posted for you yet?

I know. Jim and I were so hoping for a Pack/Steeler SB.

I did see the interview and it cracked me up! He's so cool and confident. And I never thought he was that attractive, but he looked surprisingly hot.

I did listen to the link- hilarious!

Awww- thank you! I think I'll be taking you up on it. Jim and I are thinking of selling some stuff on eBay too so I'll need tips for that as well...

The best tips I can give is feature the auction, use key words in the description, and take lots of clear pictures. My Jim would have details and of course you two are more than welcome to come over and chat about it any time.

That would be most appreciated! Jim has been bugging me to work on starting an eBay business, but as I don't know the first thing about selling I'd need some guidance. Right now, it would just be for the crap that we have cluttering up our little place.

Sounds like you had a nice weekend. I can understand why you got annoyed. "My" Jim is like that sometimes. He’s a big procrastinator and if I don't push him, nothing gets done around here...Men...

Jim is actually pretty good about straightening up- it's mostly his stuff that needs it anyway! But he's just clueless about how long all of this baby stuff takes. And I think he feels like he's not doing a good enough job as a provider- he really really wants us to be in a house when the baby's born, but at some point he has to face up to the fact that it's looking less and less likely.

Glad you were able to give Jim that push to get things done. Sometimes men just don't understand that things need to get done. Adam has no foresight like that!

I felt so bad because I unintentionally hurt his feelings, but in the end, it paid off. Not that I want to make him feel bad all of the time, but it was a valuable lesson for me about being more firm with him.

Sometimes you have to be more firm to get them to act on something... It's hard to find the right balance. You don't want feelings to be hurt, but you need things to get done... I guess it's all a part of marriage to figure out the right way to do it.

Can I vote for you selecting and ordering, he put it together?

I thought that is how it was supposed to work...

I think you're totally right!!! I thought that too! It was the same with our wedding registry- he had way too many opinions on things like china patterns.
