Would you pee that often if it meant losing weight? Seriously, water can effect your weight loss that much. That's why I'm not ashamed to pee pee pee whenever I have to. (Imagine how often that was in my 3liters of coke PLUS 100oz of water days - throw in iced tea with meals, usually 50-60oz)

Also, everything you drink that isn't water is a signifigant contributor to bathroom trips. If you drink just water and nothing else, you'll eventually stop peeing as often.

see, for me, it's not so much a question of being ashamed to pee. it's the fact that a lot of my daily activities are timed very carefully and require a lot of personal attention, so i literally can't go to the bathroom every half-hour or whatever.

i will also point out that some of the healthiest people i know drink LOTS of other things besides water, and that some of the least healthy people i know drink nothing but water. so while i believe you that it helps, i'm not going to support a motion to completely stop enjoying other beverages and only drink water.

but that's just me.

I didn't say you had to drink only water to be healthy, only that if you drink pure water you won't pee as much or as often as drinking other stuff or other stuff plus water. Other stuff plus water makes you pee the most because your body uses that water to flush the excess sodium and glucose out. Water gets a bad rep for making people pee all of the time, but really if you were to drink *just* water, after two or three days you wouldn't be peeing any more than normal. Maybe one extra time per day. Whereas if you drink soda and water you'll be peeing every hour.
