Thanks so much, Becca! It's such a beautiful song and so much of it fit for Steve, I think. I'm glad you think I did justice to both song and character.

Aww love it! You used a lot of effects, but it was subtle enough not to make me notice (except for my vidder!squee) and I love the message I got from it, which is that he is still the same man inside even after all he's been through. Lovely!

Thanks for mentioning that the effects didn't detract from the essence of the vid. Thanks so much for your lovely feedback, Lizzie.

Oh man, the feels, THE FEELS. Seriously, that is such a perfect study of Steve, how his greatest strength has always been that if he's knocked down 10 times, he'll get up 11.

The song is a beautiful fit for the vid and I loved the way you used color, black and white and sepia, really nicely done. I was particularly impressed with the way you used the blur on those little musical cues (at :56 for one example) that, well, sound like a blur to me, lol! ;)

Really, really beautifully done, I enjoyed it a lot from the opening quote to that last shot of him rising up! *applause* Loved it! :D ♥♥♥

Steve feels are pretty solid feels. I have lots of Steve sympathy - or STmpathy for short. :)

I like how tersely you summarized that. Steve really is resilient no matter the tons of crap that he's dealt, which is what makes him truly heroic, I think, serum or not.

Oh yay! I'm glad you enjoyed some of the effects and that you didn't consider then overbearing. I also thought that weird sound sounded blurry! I don't know how the connection's made, but I'm happy you agreed!

I'm thrilled you noticed the parallel between beginning and end!

Thanks for the amazing feedback, sweetie. I'm glad you enjoyed the vid!

UGHHHHHH. I love the way you know (and love) this character, Maria. :) Aesthetically and emotionally, it's such a beautiful vid; both the quote and song encapsulate this character to a T, but it's your appreciation of him that makes it perfect.

The aforementioned comments re: Steve's strength and conviction of character, I completely agree with, and you express each so beautifully within the vid. I was especially struck by the 1:21-28 "we might fall" sequence - particularly because there's that initial time where Steve is portrayed as 'physically weaker' than others, yet as Capt. America things aren't always better, so what comes through in that moment is his strength of self. I then enjoyed how, later on in the vid, you do see him get the upper hand (physically), but it's accentuated with that lovely 2:17-23 sequence which speaks to his true strength.

I also can't not mention 0:24-30. Right.In.The.Feels that one.

Gorgeous work! ♥

Aww, thank you, Kirsty. There's a few vids that I've seen that made me truly appreciate Steve and I guess that stuck enough that I was able to demonstrate those same feelings in my vids.

YEP! Pre-serum Steve was beyond physically weak, but even throughout the Avengers I couldn't have but notice that Capt. America really kept getting his butt kicked by Loki and the Chitauri. Compared to most of his teammates, he's still weak. He's one among a god, a hulk, and a machine. While he was the strongest in his time, he's basically outdated now, but it's not his strength that's his greatest quality - just strength of character and leadership skills. YES! His true strength being what he's had all along.

OH MY. As soon as I heard that lyric at 0:24, I had feels because I imagined how perfect the clips would be there. POOR STEVE! ACK!

Thank you so much for your wonderful words, sweetie. Much appreciated.
