Anyone else looking forward to the World Cup final on Sunday? (Women's football, Japan vs. the US, for the confused.)

Naturally I'm disappointed that my own team didn't make it past the quarter finals, but this is amazing for Japan: They've never reached the finals before. So GO JAPAN! I will be dead on my feet for class in the morning but staying ( Read more... )

I am very happy with how it's been going.
Womens sports in general needs more support from general public,
I'm surprised to see supporter abroad.

That's really true, about women's sports needing more support. I'm pretty sure I only know about this one because Australia got through to the quarterfinals; usually I don't hear much about women's sports.

Hey, I've got family over there in Japan (sort of: my host family while I was on exchange there), of course I support you guys. :D

WE WON! It was AWESOME! Dude!

Kaihori was TOTALLY on her game, I mean, yeah she let those two shots in, but both of em were good, so I forgive her, and in the shoot out?Man... I STILL say that foot thing was deliberate!
Those girls could dribble like no tomorrow and most of their passes were solid.
I actually got my sister to watch!

Totally agreed on Kaihori! Her save really early in the game was beautiful and I don't even know soccer all that well.

I almost fell off my seat in the shootout; I was that nervous (and tired, thank you 4AM game)! I don't think I was that nervous in even the Aus-Sweden game. Such a good game. You were right to make your sister watch it!
