A/N: I update this one really fast, and the rest are like "yeah I'll do this next week." Katie look what you do to me.
I'm not that late. It's 6:12. Come on, 12 minutes isn't that bad. Right?
I knocked on the door four times and rocked back and forth on my heels. It didn't take long before the door swung open and revealed Cassadee, one hand on her hip and a wide, smug grin spread across her face.
"Took you long enough," she shot, stepping aside to let me walk in.
"It takes time to look this good," I replied, strolling in like those assholes in the clubs that think they're ghetto.
She snickered. "Not going to comment on that."
I turned to her and wiggled my eyebrows, to which she waved her hand dismissively. The door clicked shut and I remembered why she wanted me to come over here.
"So who did you want me to meet?" I asked, shoving my hands in my pockets.
The grin returned to her face. "I'll go get her," she told me, clapping her hands once and scurrying off.
I waited somewhat impatiently, dropping down onto the couch. It was still way too soft and it smelled like layer after layer of Febreeze. They did get it from Alex's mom.
Now that I think of it, did Alex even get my calls? He never called me back. So maybe his phone died or something. Still, it would've been cool if he used Cassadee or Rian's phone to call me this morning. He totally owes me an explanation to why he ran off last night. Seriously, there were hot girls everywhere, and he left to come home? What's this fuckery? He could've totally scored that cute little brunette that-
"Jaaack," Cassadee sang, pulling me out of my thoughts. "Allow me to introduce you to miss Aly."
Standing from the couch, I rolled my shoulders back and prepared myself for the sight. Please, Cassadee, let this one be hot and non-whiny.
"And Aly, this is Jack," she giggled, and it almost sounded like a joke. But whatever. She probably showed this Aly a bunch of pictures of me for her to creep on.
I sighed as I turned around. "Hi, Al-" My words died in my throat.
Woah. Speaking of cute little brunettes.
I scanned her from head to toe. She had dark blonde hair, which I guess I can just call brown, because seriously, who will pay that much attention? Anyway. Her face looked kind of familiar, but I was positive I'd never met this girl in my life, unless I saw her in a record shop somewhere downtown. She was dressed in a simple white sleeveless shirt that was baggy on her with a bright blue tank top underneath, and black skinny jeans. She was curvy, but it was in the right places. And it wasn't like 300 pounds curvy. More like 135 pounds curvy. And not a muffin. I mean, I like muffins, and I like eating muffins, but that's a whole different situation.
And those boobs, oh lord help me, the boobs. I want my face in them now. Maybe I shouldn't say that out loud though.
Cassadee snapped her fingers, and my attention went to her. "You can stop staring at her body, creep."
I stuck my tongue out at her and stepped forward. "Uh, yeah. Hi, Aly," I greeted her, my hand outstretched.
Aly smiled, bit her lip, and blushed. "Hey," she responded, taking my hand and shaking lightly. It was kind of adorable how nervous she was.
"Aww," Cassadee cooed from the side, and I stuck my tongue out at her again. She countered by pouting and giving me puppy dog eyes.
"Not gonna work." My attention went back to Aly, who was still standing there somewhat nervously, but more comfortable now. I smiled at her and her face flushed bright red again, making me chuckle. I dropped her hand after realizing that I was still holding onto it from the moment before.
"I'm gonna go call Rian real quick. Leave you two to your business," Cassadee announced with a wink. I rolled my eyes, but didn't turn away from Aly or object to it.
I waited for Cassadee to leave the room before I spoke again. "So, Aly, we should go get some coffee or something."
Her face lit up, then her neatly plucked eyebrows knitted together. "What about Cassadee?"
"She'll be fine," I casually told her, shrugging one shoulder. "And plus, if she really wants to know where we are, she can just text me."
She bit her lip and thought for a little bit before nodding and grinning. "Yeah. Let's go."
I smirked and held my hand out, which she hesitantly took while giggling. I strode to the door and opened it, bowing and waving her out like one of those cheesy movie gentlemen. She stepped out of the door and I followed, closing the door behind me.
Yeah, so maybe this one isn't bad.
