That nutty cosplayer is at it again.

I know it's been a while since I donned the green bandana, but since my last cosplay picspam I've been diagnosed with cancer, gotten pregnant, had a miscarriage, and gone through some massive surgery to prevent the cancer's recurrence. I probably shouldn't even be doing cosplay as a guy right now due to the medical limits of how much I can bind my chest, but I decided it was time to go out and play. I did, and had a ton of fun. And as we all know, it didn't happen if there aren't pictures!

Anyway, a friend and I are working on a PotC/Dark Knight fanfilm (still) and here's some photos from today. Don't ask. Speculation is good. If I inspire any of the fabulous fanfic writers on this forum, even better.

Location is Blue Mesa Reservoir in western Colorado, which is 3+ hours from anywhere of significance in this desolate state. The rest is copied and pasted from my post in my private livejournal, because I'm lazy like that.

Will Turner and our version of Calypso the Sea Goddess, NOT the voodoo wierdo.

Yeah, yeah... that's a ballgown. I actually wear this to military balls, but with a hoopskirt to make it even fuller. That happens, oh, once a year. Might as well get use out of it! It's a costume, either way. :D

Calypso.

That dredlocked nightmare is all my Sparrow dreadlocks, sans their ribbons and beads. I think some of the coins are still in there... but I will be needing to give my wig some TLC soon. Cece really enjoyed being Calypso, and looked fabulous, so I think we need to find more reasons to have Calypso in our stories.

Will Turner

Accidental self portrait:

That be the new Will Turner wig I'm wearing, and a new bandana from what used to be a T-shirt before I dotted the hell out of it with a sharpie. I'm liking them. I think it works. Certainly well enough that I didn't have to curl my hair anymore, and I can now dye it black as I've been wanting to for a year. And it kept my head warm. Yay wigs!

We ultimately decided that Will needed to carry Norrrington's sword. I'd forgotten about this part, because I was high on a kite due to my vicodins when we wrote the script. However, as I found out when we got down there, I apparently helped write that we decided to do this to poor Will.

That photo was accidental... we thought we had the camera set on 'video'. Oops. But it's a funny teaser for what will be posted later. Also it's how I can tell you that we discovered that snow is great for removing fake blood from the tulle that is the top layer of the gown. I need to put some Era where it splashed on the lace so I can get the blood out before the next Ball, but most of it we were able to clean off with no effort. Note to self... stage blood tubes act erraticly when half frozen and squirt in odd dirctions.

By the time we were done, the blood had frozen solid to the ice, so there was no cleaning it up. We now think that it'd be funny that anyone else who stops and walks on the ice there will see it, and imagine cops being called out to forensically investigate what turns out to be stage blood. Heeeheeheee....

Remember... comments feed the cosplayer.
