I've been regrettably absent from many places, and intensely busy even when not in the hospital. So busy with work preparing for my fellowship that many things are still in progress, including celebration of a very special 10th anniversary.

This is a entry about that work.

The reference to Eislinn is fitting. It would be nice to heft whatever sword you can bring to bear and slay the monster that killed the queen.

One of my dearest friends is getting handfasted next weekend.

Her fiance got his diagnosis last Friday.

This is suddenly of more than academic interest to me.

So on one front I'm getting emails on a fund-raiser for Relay for Life on Friday, I'm seeing variations of "Cancer Blows" in locked posts, and hearing stories, then I see the post. All in the space of about 3 hours.
