This week had been really nice. Thanks to the vending machines that popped around town, I had been able to take some time off work and really look into the law books at the library. I had been meaning to ever since I heard about the whole profession from Miles, but last week had just been perfect

Most likely. There's enough people here doing prosecution, and I wouldn't want to step on their toes.

I've been unsure about resuming my own legal career, to tell the truth. I recall both defending and prosecuting.

They say it's always good to walk in another person's shoes... perhaps that was what you were doing? I don't seem to remember reading if it were okay for a lawyer to both defend and prosecute.
