Anybody ever heard of Cox shuting off your internet for hosting an mp3? There's seven mp3s that play off my myspace and since I moved them to my server my internet has stopped working twice. A cable modem restart fixes it but, wtf
Usually they would send a cease and desist email or something before they shut off service. I know they don't like servers on their bandwidth. Sounds odd. Call them if it keeps happening.
Yeah I was thinking it could be a "feature" of theirs to keep high bandwidth users in check. If your cable modem freezes up a couple times a day you wouldn't be able to have a very reliable server.
Also, I don't know how myspace works but, maybe myspace is flooding your connection with requests and killing it. Monitor the traffic and see what's happening.
