How do you feel about Tseng sending some of the Turks to ...curtail the problem once he's aware of it. I think the dead bodies would be a good sign of it and maybe they can make him see sense, or at least contain him long enough to get him secured.)
That's sounds incredibly cool! I left it open for Cissy to see in particular but there's lots of ways that could turn out :3 The Turks gave him a reason to live before, by providing a means to find Sebastian and a different identity in which to function. We'll just have to see how it plays out this time ^_^
[call to Kitty's cellphone~]tanjuuJuly 25 2010, 22:02:48 UTC
[it's only because he barely registers the light footprints downstairs that Rhys bothers to check after the soft click of the door cues the exit of their silent guest. leaving without service? too many people are worried about dying not to drink. spying the envelope on the bar, opening it and reading, laughing aloud to himself.
cellphone in hand, he only has to hit pre-programmed speed dial, grinning hard. there is no greeting when the other side answers, just a purr.]
[So he picks up. It doesn't mean a damn thing]turk_katanaJuly 25 2010, 22:17:01 UTC
[Adrian is breathless, he's running to the docks right now. He nearly throws the phone away as he rings. Instead he jumps over a metal barrier and slinks, crouched and ready to move. There is a laugh, and it's practically hysterical.]
Aww, I screwed up the wedding plans?
[A breath: calm, calm, calm. He needs to move on. Find him.]
Why did you phone me? I don't have time for you right now, petit.
[except that Kitty obviously wants to hear from his BFFforlife.]tanjuuJuly 25 2010, 23:32:16 UTC
Fuck you, Adrian.
[not as if that can even really be taken seriously, laughing like he is, despite the fact that he practically spits the words. he's started pacing and he doesn't realize it, sliding over the top of the bar and shoving glasses around, relishing the clink of glass. discretion is for the weak.]
Why the fuck do you think I'm calling you, idiot? You fucking wrote me the most pathetic suicide note I've ever seen. Did you skip your pills this morning?
[a quiet slosh and accompanying glug of liquid, the soft plop of ice in his drink and the all but silent way he hisses after a sip.]
Where the hell are you going. [it would never be a question.]

[Cissnei recognized the style in which the two uniformed men near the inn were killed. Like they had met their end by a sword, a katana. She wasn't sure if the number was still active, it had been years but still Cissnei dialed the number to Adrian's phone and listened to it ring. She hopes he'll pick up, or she might be tempted to call over and over again, until she got on his nerves; she could be quite persistent at times.]

[Cissnei hears the click of the phone being picked up a moment before she hears it click off. He hung up on her? Well, she's just going to hit call again and wait for a minute.
[Possibly persistent phone call] ^^turk_katanaJuly 28 2010, 18:39:30 UTC
[The phone snaps open again quickly and blue eyes glance at the number.
A moment elapses as Adrian pushes his glasses up the bridge of his nose - but the ring still pierces and grates - so, smoothly, belying just how much this has thrown him, a finger taps against accept call]

...Let me take a wild guess here, Katana's gone off the deep end again?
[ She'd heard about the bodies and come to see if there'd been any contact since Rhys was one of the few members Kat talked to. ]

He was a man triggered.
He barely had the sense to realise he would have to more careful next time... but it was there: a reminder in every ring
He snarls at the phone as it persistently nags, thinking it Rhys once more.
Pulling the cell out he clicks flips it open, then just as quickly flips it back, cutting Cissnei off in the process.
Just as the ID faded from the screen, Adrian caught sight of the number and realised it was not the pretty little irritant he had thought...]
Shit.
