They let me talk to her today, finally. She’ll be out hopefully in about a week and a half. She kept asking me if I was alright. She’s so adorable. She wanted me to come break her out of there and you have no idea how tempting it is. Hopefully she’s going to be alright, though she says that she’s still hearing the voices at night. The 16-year old that I’m mentoring tried to kill her herself yesterday (and nearly succeeded.) My heart fell when I heard about it today, especially when I heard that when she came to in the ER she asked for me. Her family is spazzed all to hell, especially her overbearing brother.

Still dazed.

So… spent yesterday morning mentoring The Youth of America.. Ok, so just one youth, but I’d probably be just as tired. I know that if I had someone to talk to who had been through all the uphill depression battles and turned out at least somewhat normal when I was 16, then it probably would have helped.
