This is stunning. I am wordless. I mean, this reads like poetry, with the rhythm of the music, and Shion being a conductor is so unlike most people's head-canons that it's such a refreshing surprise to have him doing something so creative.

Stars pepper the ceiling above, shining brighter and brighter until they’re blinding, senbon-thin needles slicing the air into halves, fourths, sixteenths. The blood they draw tastes of fresh wood and splinters, of hard lacquer and rust.

These lines are my favourites, especially.
