Lee does need hugs. Lots of them. But it's okay in the end, he gets her back.

Oh, this was just too good. I mean, so painful. You took away Kara and gave us/Lee Faith! Not cool. But it's okay because we got Kara back too, even if my heart was pretty much breaking for Lee beforehand. I also appreciated the graceful way you brought this to a close. Faith trying to volunteer nicely complements her initial attitude, when Kara had to strong-arm her into signing up for the Caprica mission. And you know, much as I would have loved to end on Kara and Lee (and happily ever after?) it's right for this story that it end with Kara and Faith and their friendship because hello, that's kinda the point of the story.

(Also, was Tru named Davies? I think so...)

Yeah, Tru's last name was Davies.

It really hurt to break Lee's heart so much, but since the fic ends where it ends they can totally go off and live happily ever after if you want them to. I want them to. But yeah, I really wanted to bring it full circle with everything Faith and Kara went through to really have friendship for them at the end.

Hey according to the The Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America this thing is a novel (it passes 40k words) I'm sooo excited to be done with it. :)

Nice one, babes (and since you began, I started watching Buffy, which had passed me by back in the day, and the whole thing made a whole lot more sense...)

I rather like the PTB version of Kara's return (and I hope they don't poof her in the end).

I cooked up the PTB version almost right after the finale, because it felt like RDM was trying to do with the poof what Joss did in the Angel episode "You're Welcome" and it just made me feel better to think of it that way.

*Poof* as in 'Kara Thrace vanishing into thin air'. Gods but that conclusion p*sses me off still.

Good storyline overall. Certainly kept throwing curve balls every which way, so I had to give up thinking I knew where things were going since chapter 3. Nice characterization of Faith/Slayer; I'm a little surprised at how easily she 'fit' into the storyline and meshed with the other characters.

Nice work. Is this it or is there a sequel in the works?

Yeah, that was really interesting. I didn't have to really twist or warp much to get Faith to fit into the story.
