Before she even opened her eyes, she was grateful on taking up Topher’s offer of upgrading Tony’s cooking skills.

Ha ha, oh, PURE WIN!!!

Thank you so much for this, Ray! It was delicious, such a great combo of sexy and sweet, and I can only hope they get even a second of this kind of happiness in the future. And if they do not, well, I will always have this! *hugs the ficlet tight*

I think this was my favorite line, because it's really the soul-deep recognition between them that so fascinates me: Even without names and dates, without the little details that shape and change, something at the very core of her connected to something at the very core of him. REALLY lovely way to put it, hon.

*sigh* I wonder if their breakup will be dealt with in the finale? Or their inevitable doom. Joss likes his doomed romances. (All of my OTPs have been trashed by him. Maybe one reason why I wasn't completely horrified with The Poof. IDK.)

But yes. Let them cling to this happy!

Good question--I've been wondering that myself. And if it was really a breakup breakup, actually. They "don't do this anymore" but maybe that was just a temporary thing, because of the war. Certainly we know how the Boyd scene was made to look one way but didn't end up amounting to much...

I don't know that I'm so invested in this pairing that my heart would be broken by Joss dooming it (dented, perhaps, though). Maybe because they at least had a tiny bit of happiness? Maybe because I know that no matter what, they would find each other again eventually, somehow, as the show has proved over and over? I don't really know, but if it's done well (or even just not completely screwed up!), I think I'd be OK with them having a tragic end. Not that I'm not hoping for happiness, obviously!

Loved this! Excellent job.

Yet, that made her all the more certain that she was meant to be with him. Even without names and dates, without the little details that shape and change, something at the very core of her connected to something at the very core of him.

*sigh* I love this. I'm a total sucker for whole connected on a primal level kind of thing. :D
