Thank you so much for filling my prompt! This was amazing. Your writing style is beautiful and I particularly loved that you opened and ended it with the descriptions of blue, green and red:

There are only three points of color in this picture: Muted blue sky. Green-gray scrub. And blood-red crazy of not-Sam.

He drives, watching blurs of empty muted blue sky, green-grey scrub, and blood-red on his arms and little brother.

The way you went from not-Sam to little brother was really clever. The whole thing was so uniquely descriptive, I really liked this line: The latin seeps into his ears, filling his head with soupy static, and the ground starts to spin, I liked every line but I love the sound being described as 'soupy'. Also, the brothers' dynamic was so spot on, as were their individual characterisations. The curse was imaginative and I'm really wondering how Dean ended up in that situation in the first place (I'm guessing he pissed off a witch?)

Amazing! Thank you! :)

Thank you so much for your beautiful comment! It made me smile so hard. I’m really glad you liked this and especially happy that the colors worked for you. One of the things that really drew me to this prompt (and left it stirring around in my head months later!) were the images and sense of place that came to mind from a road through the middle of nowhere. I tried to play around with colors and phrasing in this, so it is awesome to hear how those worked for you. As for the origin of the curse - I think a pissed off witch is a likely culprit, heh.

Thanks for the awesome prompt, this was a lot of fun to write! And thank you for sharing your thoughts! :)
