So here I am sitting at work waiting for yet another call to come in so one more person can complain at me about how horrible their service is. The worst part though is that I have proof that most of them wouldn't change their ISP even given the chance. The only conclusion I can draw based on this is that the "highly valued" customers I work with ( Read more... )

I worked as a library assistant / I.T trainer and in gas stations.

There are undoubtedly insane people out there and I've served some of 'em. I think a lot of people just believe that the correct way to solve problems is to yell and threaten. One of my brothers is like that.

I always try to be polite but as a customer I can understand how easy it is for rage to build when you're continually not getting anywhere and the person on the other end of the phone line isn't helping you any either (but then often there isn't anything the tech person *can* do to help).

Ahh, me sees. Well that's a different kettle of bananas. In that case ... not necessarily crazy but they may have deep-seated personality issues.
