Fashion Blogs - it's very scary

Finally decided to update my look. Been haunting fashion blogs. It's easy to decide which ones are not for me. Butt ugly wardrobes, no taste, people dressed in Designer bling from head to toe - lodsa money- no taste. Also, any blog which appears to be a set of tatty greeting cards.

I'm dressing more simply, classic. Even my work clothes, many nurses wear 'scrub suits' even though they don't work in the operating room. Some have the most horrid patterns, think bad kiddie wallpaper. I wear solids and stripes in neutral colours. My patients are in their homes, mostly older. I like to look professional and neat.

I read one of her posts, talk about totally absorbed in spending. She posted that Chanel only allows you to buy 2 purses and 4 costume jewelry pieces. Oh the horror!!! Then she posts wearing all of it. There is a whole other world out there that I can't understand.

Actually, I thought Fashion Over Fifty was interesting. There's an element of pure confidence that I like to see in dressing, even when the outfit isn't something I could/would wear myself. And I enjoy hearing the person talk about why they put it together as they did.

Have you ever looked at Style Rookie? I like her style and if I were just, say, 38 years younger and fifty pounds smaller, I would dress as she does.

True, but as a fifty + woman, I am looking for style ideas and come away from many blogs shuddering.
