but I'm up and dressed. Reason. I need a new hot water tank. Yesterday, I went downstairs and discovered a huge leak all over. New tanks run about $300. There is a place an hour away that sells re-built ones for 60-80. Only trick, place is open to sell them from 0800 to 0815. Plumbers have such a weird sense of humour.

A seller's market for sure- shop was hidden behind another building, sign laid casually against a pole- so not only awkward hours, but hiding.
tank is now installed- thanks dear brother- bath tonight. Re-built 60 gal tank, $60. Score- as they run several hundred dollars more new.

They can't keep enough in stock-the price is WAY below market for a new one and they work just fine.

Doesn't look like we'll be able to get together. :((((((((( Conference has turned much more onerous than I thought. Not staying at conference hotel and navigating the streets of Toronto with broken toes leaves me just knackered at the end of the day. Sorry. I'd hoped we could connect.
