Weekend Efforts, Odds and Sods

Apr 18, 2010 11:26

Saturday was not the best-migraine. But I did get the laundry done and tidied the kitchen. Today, I have put a coat of urethane on the kitchen cabinet doors, later I will put them back on the cupboards. Who knew that it would take almost four weeks for me to get this done? I still have to put new caulking around the counter and paint the edge trim ( Read more... )

Great goodness you have been busy! I had a look at the High Bush Cranberry, and it is a lovely plant. I wish we could grow it here, but I don't think it would take our summers.

Infortunately I am very familiar with burrs. They seen to thrive here extremely well.

YAY! for free daylilies. They are one of my most favorite flowers.

The local Land Stewardship Council sells native shrubs, evergreens and hardwood year old seedlings very cheaply to those with a large plots of land. Mine isn't that large, but in 2004,I sent an order in on spec and found that they didn't check. A few of my Scotch Pine are 10 feet tall now, they were only 6 inches tall when planted.
Just had a hot bath as my lower back is in spasm. Took some anti-inflammatory meds and will now scan my flist etc.
I will check to see if I can send some Daylillies to you.

Good news about kitchen facelift and your productivity in general. Just don't go overboard on the gardening. It's so easy to do, then you pay the price the next day. :D

Have fun in Buffalo!

Will do- went to get US $$ today. As I will only be out of the country for 24 hours- duty free is only $50, and no cheap booze.

I read the first line and wondered what a 'best migraine' would be like, and how it would differ from one that rated less-than-best.

O_o

*hugs you* Kitchen yay, take care of yourself and don't overdo in the garden, and have fun!!

A best migraine, meaning that I have a migraine and it is not so bad that I can move about and not shudder at the thought of getting up to pee, or turning, reaching to open the drawer next to my bed and grab my medication, then taking it. Due to my migraines, I always have a drink next to my bed so I don't have to get out of bed to get a drink to swallow the meds.
Nods re overdoing- I had to stop as my back went into spasm bending over to cut the wild raspberry canes.
