Loving all the embroidery you have been making.  Especially the "weird" one.

Wow! Now if only I could get my hubby to go away for a couple of days, maybe I could get some stuff done. LOL! Actually, he never impedes my crafty progress; I do that all by myself.

I'm really liking the Halloween PPV. I'm also loving the Labyrinth blocks. But of all the things you showed this week my fave has to be the "weird" embroidery design. Or maybe the Egypt passport pillow. I am totally in love with Urban Design.

I hope you've gotten the fat quarters from me by now along with your birthday card. If not, they should be there any day now!

The hubby definitely doesn't impede my craftiness, but he would certainly not appreciate a house invasion! ;)

I could go broke on Urban Threads, their designers are amazing!

Your fat quarters came today! Thank you, thank you! The other envelope came yesterday. Go figure!

Oh, yay! :D

Those pumpkins make me so happy! I'm glad you like them, too.

Hehe, everyone is loving the Weird stitch. It is great, isn't it! It's also available as hand embroidery, just saying. ;)

Oh, my. That is a LOT of orphan blocks! Whoa. I do not even have room for a full IKEA bag anywhere in my project room. I always love how you end up putting them together, you always seem to find a way to make them work well together.

I love the Egypt stitch. That made a great throw pillow. And the Sherlock Holmes stitch came out great, too.

I looked for airline flights to Austin, but it's just as well they were crazy expensive, because I would have ended up having to cancel because of the other assistant having to be out Thursday and Friday for her husband's major surgery in another state. So yeah. I am glad you had friends to stitch with, though.

Your PPV block is so fun!!!

I did actually manage to get my swap fabrics and cards to my office at work today. I will make sure to mail them tomorrow.

So. Many. Orphan. Blocks. That big lives shoved under my cutting table. They're all sorted more or less by color/style right now and then I pull them out based on my mood and what I have to choose from.

That Egypt stitch. I showed it to E the first time I saw it. It's only the second thing he's asked me to do since I bought my machine last year so I couldn't say no!

Oh, I wish you could have come. The sewing weekend was lovely. Everyone went home at night so we could sleep, so there was no sewing hangover, but it was still a blast. Next time he goes away and I am not going with him, I'm planning to do the same thing. It's much better than me spending the weekend alone. I'm alone enough as it is!

I think I have about 4 real orphan blocks, and then I have the chocolate box blocks for the quilt I started on our sand box sisters retreat. I might dig out the chocolate box ones to do the next Linus top.

I think the sewing day/weekend was a great idea, and I'm sure your friends had a blast too.

I did post a comment but I think love journal eats them 😉

I love your Halloween quilt it is looking awesome or as my 7 year old would say it is epic.

I will be posting my swap today. Probably won't take part in the fat quarter draw as posting that many fat quarters to the uk would cost a fortune.

I love the Holmes embroidery and the Egyptian one they are great. I love urban threads to, but I only have the 4.5 inch frame on my machine and the designs are so small you miss the details. I have now arranged to sell my machine to a friend. Maybe in a few months once things are settled I can get one with a bigger frame.

Glad you had sewing fun with your friend.

Xxx

LJ, the eater of comments!! It happens to me, too.

I like epic, it's a good word!

I worked very briefly in a sewing machine shop and one thing I took note of was how many people came in to trade in their 4" hoop machines for the 5"x7" one!

Sewing with friends is always fun. :)
