"I just happened to have a peacock feather" *snorts*
The yellow start quilt is just amazing, but I can imagine those corners were really bulky. It's so gorgeous though. Some older child/teen is really going to love that so much.
Even the "easier" version of ice cream bowl seems so daunting to me. I know it's not hard, just so many pieces! I am still looking forward to tackling PPV... maybe March?
In all honesty that's the one I never finished because I got bored. I think because I only had time to do sew a few pieces of the block at one time, doing it night after night finally had me going.... whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, lol. I couldn't get the hang of the tip you gave us, every time I tried it I screwed it up. BUT I am way more experienced with pp now, so I am going to try again, only the one with fewer pieces this time.

The corners were crazy, but the yellow & blue washed up to be soooo scrunchy! I think the layer of muslin underneath really helped with that.
Ice Cream Bowl isn't hard at all because it's one giant piece. No piecing unit, just go around and around. Fingers crossed for you to start in March!

Fun PPV block again. This is going to be a fun Halloween quilt when it's all finished.
The star quilt from Suzyquilts looks so fantastic... it's such a simple pattern, but it just looks great with that repeat.

I shared the quilt made from Susan's blocks with some friends at the last Linus meeting. There were a lot of oohs and ahs!
