Oh, I feel your pain, that is just TOO hot! I'm in South Texas and now in the country, so you would think all the trees would help, but no breeze and high humidity makes it stifling. Sounds like chilling on the sofa (and maybe enjoying a Popsicle too) is a good plan for you!

Yes, bought a box of sugarfree popsicles Sunday morning at the grocery store and between the three of us they are half gone already. We're also trying to use the oven as little as possible. I'll be glad when monsoon season hits, IF it actually shows up this summer.

We're having a heatwave, a tropical heatwave . . .

Everything reminds me of a show tune! It's been pretty warm here in NC, but mainly in the 90s, no 100s yet. And our heat is ALWAYS humid.

I was used to humidity when i lived in Dallas, but after 20 years here I'm NOT anymore, lol. The evaporative cooler just can't cool the air as well when it's humid out. I don't mind the humid if I get rain with it, but sadly we are still in a drought and have a big wildfire burning southwest of town right now so that's not helping either. *end of whine*

"It's too hot to play with my toys!" is a valid complaint, lol! I think my little window a/c in my workshop needs another shot of freon, or I just need a new one. Yay for another expense!

I finished the quilting but it's going to take me FOREVER to bury the threads from all the starts and stops. Woof.
