In which I ramble about purple shirts and vests for hopefully the last time. There is also talk about trying to make a quilt in less than a month, because I do like to challenge myself, don't I?

You are so thoughtful to try to salvage the lavender shirt for somebody and to donate the purple shirt. There is no way on earth I could made that vest in 1 hour. CRAZY! Congratulations on getting that done (even if it took a little longer than they claimed it would).

Thank you for giving me the idea to quilt-as-you-go. I am going to try that for the Doctor Who quilt. I may not get it done by her birthday (tomorrow) but at least I'll get it done before next Christmas!

She's got really good step by step videos. And lots of different tutorials, it's a really fun site, I could spend a lot of time just going through all the patterns and tutes.

LJ is being stupid for me and not allowing me to make comments freely. Grrrr...

I love the work you did to help the other ladies. Go you! I don't make clothes. Ever. That doesn't stop my coworkers from asking me every Halloween to make them something. No joke.

I believe you can get a quilt done in a month! I just wish I had gotten to this sooner as I have some music type fabrics at home that I'd be happy to send!!

I was so relieved to be done with the vest that I was happy to finish up the other ones as best i could. The vest is about the most I want to spend on making an article of clothing.

Quilt top just needs a border and back then I'm ready to baste and quilt. Have to set it aside until after Sunday, though. We've got our chorus concert this saturday evening here in ABQ and then again Sunday afternoon in Santa Fe. Then we get a week of thank goodness.

You must just be tired of purple shirts :D They're at least going to get some better finished shirts out of the deal.
