TTMT #102 - jewells68 - November 13, 2014 - Grooooovy!

Nov 13, 2014 08:28

In which I show some groovy donated fabric I brought home from the October Project Linus meeting, Pouncy the cat drops by, I talk about how busy work is, how darn cold it is, and how little crafting I seem to be doing. Hope it's not too horribly boring!

Looks like you'll have fun quilting to do for Linus :D

I'll be back again hopefully next week, but we'll see. We're about to go through a big change at my work (my company was bought by another company and they're slowly converting stores over to their systems - we go live the first week of December, but my part of things starts two weeks early), so I'll be working too much and crafting often not at all while this all goes on.

We so need to win a big pile of cash and not have to work so we can just craft our hearts out.

Haha.. if only, eh? I've been sitting here this morning staring at the stuff Craftsy has on sale, talking myself into and back out of buying kits. And the out of part is because... when am I going to make anything? I already never finish anything without buying more kits to have sitting around!

Those have been teasing me as well. I want, but where to put it? Because it's not like I'll start on it for several years!

Oooh, cute bug fabric panel! I'm sure there's a kid out there that will absolutely love that.

Videos do seem to be getting scarce these days, don't they? Said the woman who makes about one a month. :/ I'm just so bad about letting every little thing distract me and then poof, a week's gone with no creative activity.

Love the Arthur Dent vibe. :) Don't forget your towel! (friendly teasing, no mockery involved, lol)

It's probably going to end up being applique, which I've never done with a quilt, so who knows when it will happen, right?

Not offended by the Hitchhikers reference, it's an old favorite. :D Some weeks are just a "make a video in your fleece robe or don't make a video" kind of week.

PS, I just accidentally emailed instead of LJ commenting. Not sure if that would even work. Tired girl is tired.

I'm going to start referring to your videos as PJ-TTMT, heee! It's like a sleepover every week! Love it!

It's super cold here. Fortunately, it's dry.

Sheesh, Pouncy is so cute! We need more cats on TTMT!

That fabric is fabulous! I can't wait to see what you do with it. Hmm, I wonder if you could applique the Love Bugs on a solid background and then use the fun prints as blocks or borders...

I'd love to see more videos. I get a little bummed when it thins out!

I figured applique is what I would end up doing, which is good because it's something I never do, so good experience, right? It would make some pretty darn big blocks, so I could maybe do some 4patches or something from the other fabric to fill in the rest of the quilt. I just couldn't pass it up, not a chance!

It was a little warmer today but is supposed to get colder over the weekend. We finally have the heat on and yay for another year of the furnace still cranking on. I'm always on pins and needles the first time we switch it on each year, lol.

...and, I brought something home from Linus yesterday that will most likely need applique, too. DANG IT, it was just so cute!!

Fun groovy fabrics...

I totes am going to do mine next week in jammies...though, to be fair, I usually AM wearing whatever I'm going to wear to bed when I do post...since I do them so late at night.

ofenjen? can we do pajama party ttmt?

They ARE fun. I am looking forward to playing with them. I cannot bring home any more. I need to play with what I have.

In all fairness, I don't have any actual pajamas, per se, just old tees and lounge pants/shorts. But I do have my squishy pink fleece robe. :D But I'm always up for a pj party. Some weeks it's the only way I'll end up making a video.

I take that back, I do have my flannel owl pjs. I dug them out of a drawer so I can wear them this week. :D

The fabric is fabulous. All of the little girls my sons age (9's and 10's) are really into peace signs etc...so some little girl will really love that.

Pouncy is fab too :)

I think we have matching robes. Mine is so nice and snuggly I'm tempted to wear it over my clothes some days :)

It's like a fleece blanket with sleeves. I heart it. :)
